This is the first Alcatraz trip of the day, departing Pier 33 at 9:30 AM. While the Early Bird is the same as the Day Visit, you'll get a head start on your Alcatraz adventure and avoid the crowds arriving later in the day.

Step back in time and experience the legendary island that has been a civil war fort, a military prison and one of the most notorious federal penitentiaries in US history. This memorable tour includes: 45 minute audio presentation "Doing Time: The Alcatraz Cellhouse Tour," featuring actual correctional officers and prisoners who lived and worked on the Island; orientation video by Discovery Channel; ranger and docent tours; historic gardens and abundant wildlife.

This tour includes a personally narrated boat tour around the island; guided tours from the dock to the main prison building; “Doing Time: The Alcatraz Cellhouse Tour” and a variety of special programs and presentations offered only at night. A combination tour of two of the Bay's most famous islands: Alcatraz and Angel Island. Includes ferry rides to and from Angel Island and Alcatraz, a one-hour narrated Tram Tour of Angel Island, and the Alcatraz Cellhouse Audio Tour "Doing Time". Allow 5½ hours to complete your visit to both islands.
